Hops in the Hills Craft Beer Festival Returns Showcasing Best Breweries

MARYVILLE, TN / AGILITYPR.NEWS / June 18, 2021 / The craft beer festival celebrates its sixth year

Hops in the Hills, an annual craft brewing festival, is set to return on June 25 – 26, 2021 for a sixth year and will offer people across the region entertainment and exceptional beer.

The festival will allow attendees to sample local craft beer from the best breweries in the region.

After multiple sold-out years, Hops in the Hills is the can’t-be-missed event of the year for beer enthusiasts and has drawn attendees from across the region. Featuring almost 30 of the most well-known breweries in the region, past partners include Yeehaw Brewing Company, Blackberry Farm Brewery, Black Horse Brewing Company and Fanatic Brewing Company.

At the event, attendees will sip samples from the vendors, while strolling through the downtown greenway of Maryville. They will be able to interact with master brewers to learn about the beer they are tasting.

Hops in the Hills is the anchor event for Blount County’s premier summer festival, Summer on Broadway. Attendees will also enjoy The Big BBQ Bash, Maryville Farmers Market and Smoky Mountain Dock Dogs for additional entertainment, food and live.

“Hops in the Hills is a great way for people to finally get out of the house and experience the Smoky Mountains and Maryville’s vibrant, historic downtown and thriving craft beer scene,” says Blount Partnership Tourism Director Kim Mitchell. “It’s a highly-anticipated event, and people will be looking forward to it now more than ever.”

This year, the “Celebration of Fermentation” returns with week-long community events leading up to the festival to help kickoff and celebrate the occasion. Each day, games, prizes and music will be at each stop on the schedule.

On Friday night, live music will be performed by Americana rock and roll band, The Dirty Guv’nahs, on the Company Distilling stage at 9 p.m.

A veteran participant in the Hops in the Hills Festival, Tri-Hop Brewery returns for another year and cites the educational factor as a draw.

“Hops in the hills is a great event that introduces people to our area while also highlighting and educating folks on our local and regional craft breweries,” said Tri-Hop Brewery Owner Nick Pierce.

On Friday, June 25, the Hops in the Hills Craft Brew Crawl will be held. The event is a unique way to experience the town’s bars and restaurants and to try the local and regional beers before the event. Tickets for this event are $15 per person.

Saturday, June 26, Hops in the Hills starts at 5 p.m. on the streets of downtown Maryville. Tickets start at $55 per person and include samples of craft beer, food and an official event t-shirt. The festival is a 21 and over event.

The festival thanks its sponsors including presenting sponsor Red Stag Fulfillment and Brackins Blues Club.
