Unite offshore members accept COTA offer

Unite the union today (25 June) has announced offshore catering members have voted to accept a recent pay offer from the Catering Offshore Trade Association (COTA).

Following a consultative ballot, a 3 per cent basic pay offer was overwhelmingly accepted by 92 per cent. COTA members deliver catering and ancillary services across installations in the UK Continental Shelf (UKCS).

Unite regional industrial officer, Vic Fraser said: “The offer included a 3 per cent pay rise on all rates of pay and an improvement on current terms and conditions. This included the overtime rate now being payable for all offshore delays including weather delay. This is another major win for Unite in the offshore sector, and we will continue to fight to improve all our offshore members’ terms and conditions whether that be within the Catering, Construction or Drilling sectors.”
