$20 Million College-Dropout Says “Victim-Mentality” Is All That Stops Others Making Millions

UNITED KINGDOM / AGILITYPR.NEWS / October 10, 2022 /

JetSet, born Josh King Madrid, was told by teachers that he was a “crazy ADHD motormouth” who was “stupid for thinking he can make money online”. Now a multi-millionaire, his lavish lifestyle, which he shares on Instagram, proves them all wrong – and he reckons he’s cracked why others aren’t out there doing the same. The growth of the victim mentality.

While somewhat academic growing up, Madrid clearly wasn’t cut out for mainstream education. After putting in the extra hours at high school, he managed to secure a place studying pre-medicine and business at the University of California Irvine in 2016. He struggled through a full semester, earning Ds, Fs, and one B. Eventually, he dropped out. His poor marks, he says, were because he spent his time building his personal brand and making money, rather than studying. Drop the victim mentality he says if you want to do the same.

The 24-year-old - Josh King Madrid who is known online as just “JetSet” is now worth more than $20 million but says it wasn’t always like this. At one point he had lost everything and was nearly $1 million in debt. He went through a depression for two years before finally bouncing back in 2021 when he went from $1 million in debt to earning $10 million in just 45 days during the height of the NFT boom.

The key to his success, he claims, is that he let go of the victim mentality which held him back. Today he believes this stands in the way of other people making their own fortune. On this subject, Madrid says: “You’re holding yourself back. Not others, you. Drop the excuses, all your victim stories, all the reasons why you can’t and why you haven’t up until now…You thought yourself into the life you have now, so think yourself out of it.”

His journey began with investing in e-commerce in late 2016 and early 2017. Essentially, Madrid acted as a middleman between manufacturer and consumer. Without the need to stock a product before he sold it, he could offer products at a vastly reduced rate than conventional stores. The popularity of this way of selling rapidly increased in 2018, and he was soon making $100,000 per week.

Since then, Madrid has branched out. Now, he is an internet celebrity, author, entrepreneur, and inspirational speaker. He founded his online publication, NFT magazine.com, and has amassed a personal fortune of more than $20 million.
