A Tucson Father’s Day Story Woven in Legacy

TUCSON, AZ / AGILITYPR.NEWS / May 27, 2025 / Asian Trade Rug Company (ATRC) has been family-run in Tucson for nearly 50 years — and its ownership is a great father-daughter story. Kasra Massarat, built the business that has weathered decades and storms (political and environmental). Today his daughter Hannah is carrying the company forward, blending her design background with everything she learned from watching her father.

But behind the scenes is another father figure who deserves equal attention - - Ali Shahinpour. Ali is the company’s Master Repairman, who has spent over four decades restoring handmade rugs from around the world. Born in Iran and trained in the Persian tradition, Ali ran a workshop for two decades before sharing his talents with ATRC.
