In this capacity, Ancel will lead the development, direction, and implementation of regulatory strategy and policy across AVANGRID’s eight regulated gas and electric utilities throughout New York and New England. Ancel succeeds Steve Adams, who will retire at the end of August following a 25-year career.

Ancel comes to AVANGRID from ChargePoint, where she served as Vice President of Utility Solutions. Prior to ChargePoint, Ancel served in various capacities within the energy sector, including as Director of Clean Energy Strategy, Development, and Policy at Eversource, and Vice President of Power Supply and General Counsel at Green Mountain Power. Ancel holds a Law Degree from the University of New Hampshire and received her undergraduate degree in English from Boston College.
