MENDOCINO, CALIFORNIA / AGILITYPR.NEWS / February 24, 2021 / Announcing Mind, Body, Health & Politics Weekly Live Broadcast/Podcast
Information dissemination for social change is the name of the game for Dr. Richard Louis Miller, MA, PhD, who has recently revived his popular radio show, Mind, Body, Health & Politics; this time with new guests and an even wider array of culturally pertinent topics designed to expand consciousness and stimulate thought. Dr. Richard Louis Miller is an American Clinical Psychologist, Founder of Wilbur Hot Springs Health Sanctuary, and broadcaster who hosts the Mind Body Health & Politics talk program from Mendocino County, California. This program broadcasted live with PBS and NPR affiliate station KXYZ for fifteen years, taking a hiatus from 2017-2019, Dr. Richard L. Miller has relaunched his show as a live broadcast and podcast.
Dr. Miller was the Founder and chief clinician of the nationally acclaimed, pioneering, Cokenders Alcohol and Drug Program. Dr. Miller brings his background of over 60 years as a clinical psychologist to his interviewing skills and process of engaging his guests. Taking time to read, review and carefully get to know each guest, getting to the heart of critical issues of our day, Mind, Body, Health & Politics is a unique example of independent journalism.
Mind, Body, Health & Politics radio broadcast is known for its wide-ranging discussions on political issues and health. The program’s format includes guest interviews with prominent national authorities, scientists, best-selling authors, and listener call-ins. The programs offer a forum and soundboard for listeners to interact with the show and its guests.
Dr. Miller finds guests who talk frankly about many topics that typically never make it to mainstream media. His work in the field of psychedelic medicine is of particular note, and his dedication to this work is met by his passion for free speech, politics, sexuality, and women’s empowerment issues. Recent and upcoming guests include former Governor Jerry Brown, best-selling authors Robert Whitaker, Obi Kaufmann, and experts Stan Grof, and Gabor Mate.
As part of celebrating International Women’s Day on March 8, 2021, Dr. Miller is hosting filmmaker Phil Borges and his book Women Empowered: Inspiring Change in the Emerging World, and offering a special panel of guests and tribute to Margo St. James, who has been called the patron saint of sex workers. In San Francisco, in 1973 she founded COYOTE (Call Off Your Old Tired Ethics).
