International engineering, design and advisory company, Aurecon, has appointed Patrick Mok as Executive Director, Building Services – Greater China with effect from 3 August 2020. This strategic appointment is in line with Aurecon’s execution of its strategy to grow its business in Asia and demonstrates Aurecon’s commitment to bringing vital engineering experience and technical capability to solve its clients’ most pressing challenges.
Based in Hong Kong, Patrick will be responsible to drive business growth in the healthcare sector in Greater China. In addition to this, Patrick will lend his extensive engineering and project management knowledge and skill to lead a wide range of developments in the built environment market. This includes healthcare, industrial, commercial, hospitality and residential developments as well as developments in the educational sector.
“The rising standards of living in Greater China continues to drive the demand for quality and innovative homes, commercial, and leisure spaces. At the same time, China’s ageing population will require smart healthcare and living arrangements. With Patrick on board, we can strengthen our service offerings by providing clients with deep technical advice backed by sound, commercial reasoning,” said Johnny Lam, Managing Director, Greater China.
Patrick has more than 35 years of experience in building services engineering design and project management, specialising in complex healthcare developments and expansions. He has led a number of major healthcare development projects in Hong Kong, such as Prince of Wales Hospital Redevelopment Phase 2, Yaumatei Specialist Clinic at Queen Elizabeth Hospital and North Lantau Hospital. He was also heavily involved in other iconic projects, such as the Hong Kong – Zhuhai – Macao Bridge, Hong Kong Boundary Crossing Facilities and the International Commerce Centre in Hong Kong.

Apart from being a Registered Professional Engineer (Building Services), Patrick is also a Registered Energy Assessor. Prior to joining Aurecon, Patrick was Technical Director, MEP Building Engineering at WSP (Asia) Ltd.
