Balmoral Hall School to host grand opening of Benidickson Centre for Arts & Design

WINNIPEG MB / AGILITYPR.NEWS / January 31, 2020 / The Benidickson Centre for Arts & Design at Balmoral Hall School will serve our community for generations to come thanks to the most successful fundraising campaign in school history.

The Benidickson Centre for Arts & Design was fully funded by private gifts from the school community as well as philanthropic foundations with more than $6 million raised since 2014. Notably, Balmoral Hall School received no public funding or government aid for the three-storey building project.\

"We gratefully acknowledge the 575 donors who supported Balmoral Hall School's vision for innovative, cutting-edge educational experiences in arts and design," says Head of School Joanne Kamins. "In recognition of their leadership, Balmoral Hall School extends most sincere gratitude to Kristjan & Shirley Benidickson for their unwavering support of the campaign and significant impact on girls' education."

The grand opening of Benidickson Centre for Arts & Design will occur Thursday, February 6, 2020. Immediately following a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony at 6:45 p.m. will be Balmoral Hall School's Arts & Design Exhibition from 7 – 8:30 p.m.

The exhibition is a celebratory evening to showcase girls' learning in technology and arts with live performances, gallery displays, and interactive demonstrations.
