APPLETON, WI / AGILITYPR.NEWS / January 31, 2022 / Tax professionals may notice a surprising new form pop up this tax season when preparing S corporation shareholder returns. The IRS officially released Form 7203, S Corporation Shareholder Stock and Debt Basis Limitations, just before the beginning of the 2022 tax season, leaving little time for preparers to familiarize themselves with the instructions and the form itself.
In response to this news, the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP) is offering a free webinar to all tax preparers explaining when this new form is needed, detailing how to accurately fill it out.
A live broadcast of the webinar, Preparing the New Form 7203 for S Corporation Shareholders, will take place Feb. 16 and 17, and the on-demand version will be available later this month. This webinar will be taught by one of NATP’s outstanding instructors, Amy Wall, EA. Attendees can also earn 1 CPE.
“Providing timely and informative education for tax professionals is critical to the success of those in the industry,” said Amanda Joslin, NATP events and program content manager. “NATP prides itself on giving tax pros what they need to do their job well and serve the hardworking taxpayers of America with excellence. We’re thrilled to be able to offer this timely content free to all industry professionals.”
Other NATP webinars that include the most recent tax law information for the 2022 tax season include Calculating the Earned Income Credit on a 2021 Tax Return, Determining Qualified Dependents, Helping Clients Plan for Higher Education and Reporting and Reconciling the Child Tax Credit.
