Proposition 98 funding for K-12 schools and community colleges for 2021-22 is $85.8 billion. Which represents an increased investment of $14.9 billion in schools and community colleges above the level funded in the 2020 Budget Act, and the highest level of funding for K-14 schools ever. When combined with a one-time supplemental allocation of $2.3 billion and the benefit of CalSTRS and CalPERS rates ($1.1 billion), the state funding available to schools increases to $89.2 billion.
