Global compressor management specialist, CMC, has relocated its China factory to a larger site in Jiading District, home of the Chinese Grand Prix, in a move that will increase its assembly capacity by 30 per cent and enable the Belgium-based firm to produce 25,000 – 30,000 AIRMASTER™ units a year.

AIRMASTER™ is CMC’s line of embedded air compressor controls for original equipment manufacturers, which was originally exported from its Belgium headquarters until international demand led to the firm establishing an on-the-ground presence in China.

The relocation will see the firm, which has produced air compressor control and management solutions for almost 35 years, expand its team to include additional engineers, a new operations manager and further warehouse staff.

Graham Coats, Sales Director at CMC, comments: “CMC is very clearly in a new growth phase, which is being driven by increased demand for AIRMASTER™ from Asia-Pacific countries and AIRMATICS™, a new cloud-based air compressor monitoring, performance and control solution that can save manufacturers up to 30 per cent on their compressor-related energy bills. The Chinese market has been incredibly strong for us over the last decade and I now expect it to grow in line with our increased production capability.”

CMC will showcase its AIRMASTER™ and AIRMATICS™ lines at ComVac Asia, which takes place at Shanghai New International Expo Center on 23 – 26 October.
