DEVON,UK / AGILITYPR.NEWS / August 06, 2021 / Sharpham Dairy has launched a new service – cheese celebration cakes. Developed due to popular demand, these showstopping tower of cheeses are perfect for weddings, parties, corporate events or any reunion.
For 40 years, Sharpham Cheese has produced a range of cheeses using traditional methods from their own Jersey cows along with neighbouring goats’ and sheep milk.
Handcrafted on the banks of the River Dart, Sharpham Cheese have a range of nine multi-award winning cheeses to choose from, plus Peter’s Yard sourdough crackers and new Sharpham chutneys to complete the centrepiece. Choose from a simple three-tier creation, to an extravagant six tier ‘cake’ tower crowned with a heart-shaped cheese at the top.
Sharpham Cheese’s team can help guide couples to choose a balance of flavours and characteristics from the velvety semi-hard Rustic with elderflower notes, to the smooth, silky Brie and the complex, mushroom Washbourne sheeps cheese.
Sharpham Cheese’s Nicky Parsons says, "There’s no doubt that a good wodge of cheese to celebrate a marriage is gaining in popularity. Our cheeses are all handmade here in Devon, with each small batch unique to Sharpham Estate. Flavours, aromas and textures are influenced from the terroir here – thanks to the rich variety of grasses and herbs that grow in the Dart Valley.
“Discussing the right cheeses to make an event extra special is such a pleasure for our team who are happy to help every step of the way.”

About Sharpham Cheese
Situated on the banks of the River Dart near Totnes in South Devon, the Sharpham Estate has been producing wines and cheeses for over 35 years to local, national and international acclaim. Home to their famous Brie, Rustic and Ticklemore cheeses, Sharpham Cheese is handcrafted with milk from their own herd of Jersey cows, along with goats and ewe’s milk from their West Country neighbours.
Over the years, the equipment may have modernised, however the team still employ the same traditional techniques and the cheeses remain fully hand-produced.
Sharpham Cheese recently won two outstanding awards: UK Supreme Cheese at the Global Cheese Awards (Washbourne) and British Product of the Year in the Great British Food Awards (Cremet) – an award judged by Marcus Wareing.
