A public consultation to replace Title XXX under the country’s Food Sanitary Regulations (Decree 977/96), which contains general and specific requirements for FCMs and articles, was initiated on July 25, 2025, by Chile’s Ministry of Health.
The amendments are aligned with European Union legislation and guidelines from the Southern Common Market and aim to enhance the protection of human health.
