China Issues New Standard for Sports Brassieres: FZ/T 74002-2025
GENEVA, SWITZERLAND / AGILITYPR.NEWS / October 16, 2025 / SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, has published SafeGuardS 149/25 to provide stakeholders with an overview of China’s new product standard for sports brassieres – FZ/T 74002-2025.
Published as part of Announcement No. 7 on approved industry standards for 2025, the updated standard replaces the 2014 version. It applies to sports bras designed to protect the breasts during physical activities such as running, jumping and walking.
SGS experts regularly publish SafeGuardS to keep stakeholders informed about regulatory and market changes that may impact their business. SafeGuardS 149/25 contains details of the quality requirements and key technical changes introduced by FZ/T 74002-2025.
The new standard will come into effect on May 1, 2027, and stakeholders are encouraged to review SGS’s original SafeGuardS 149/25 now to ensure continued compliance.
