Chris Bavin hosts Rochdale Food & Drink Festival
Television’s Chris Bavin (Eat Well for Less? and Britain’s Best Home Cook) hosts Rochdale Food & Drink Festival on Saturday 4 April.
The popular chef and author will be introducing a host of local talent in the festival kitchen at the grade one listed Rochdale Town Hall as well as chatting about his career and love of good food.
Over on the Family Stage television presenter and Gastronaut Stefan Gates will be performing, and there are children’s cookery classes for little chefs.
There’ll be lots of stalls and activities an outside food and drink village, an indoor seating area to watch chef demonstrations on a big screen, themed foodie workshops plus live music and activities – with lots to offer from nearby local pubs, bars and restaurants – including a sausage eating competition at the nearby Medicine Tap.
Bringing the family? You can combine your festival visit with a short hop down the road to see Dippy The Dinosaur. The Natural History Museum’s most famous resident is on tour and in Rochdale until 10 June.
Rochdale Food & Drink Festival is on Saturday 4 April, open from 11am to 6pm.
