CLEVELAND, OH / AGILITYPR.NEWS / January 31, 2022 / Global health system Cleveland Clinic has appointed Rohit Chandra, Ph.D., as Chief Digital Officer, effective February 14, 2022. In this new role, Dr. Chandra will oversee the Information Technology Division and lead digital innovation throughout Cleveland Clinic’s global health system.
With more than 25 years of experience in digital technology and engineering, Dr. Chandra will help accelerate Cleveland Clinic’s digital transformations, including in areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and big data to improve access to care, and enhance the patient and caregiver experience.

Dr. Chandra joins Cleveland Clinic from Sunshine Products, a technology startup in Palo Alto, Calif., where he was vice president of engineering. Prior to that, he was senior vice president of Search and Advertising at Verizon Media, where he was responsible for bringing together products and teams from Yahoo and AOL after their acquisitions by Verizon. During his 13 years at Yahoo, he helped build technology for search and advertising products in a variety of engineering leadership roles.
Dr. Chandra holds a bachelor of technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India, and a doctor of philosophy degree from Stanford University, both in computer science.
