Tube Tech MD Jon Camp with Simone Robinson IoD East of England Journal Director

The event, which acknowledges outstanding contributions made by East of England business leaders, named Jon as the 2019 IoD East of England International Director of the Year. Jon was also awarded the prestigious Chairman’s award, sponsored by PLMR, which recognises the business leader who has made the most significant impact in the region.

“I couldn’t be more chuffed about winning the International Director of the Year award,” Camp said. “I am very humbled that the judging panel chose me to be the recipient of this award amongst some very stiff competition. To also win the Chairman’s Award was completely unexpected, but I am so thrilled that myself and Tube Tech International have been acknowledged in this way.”

“I would like to dedicate both awards to the whole of the Tube Tech International team.” Camp continued. “Without the hard work of everyone involved, we would not have met our goals as a business. These awards are testament to the fantastic group of people we have at the company and all of the hard work put in throughout the years.”

On announcing the winner of the Chairman’s Award, the judges commented: “The winner of the Chairman’s Award has demonstrated professionalism, resilience, good governance and a collaborative approach to leadership.”

As a Regional Director of the Year award winner, Camp now qualifies for the U.K. Director of the Year Awards, which will take place in London in October 2019.
