Ethical Clothing Brand IN OUR NAME Launches New Collection Rooted in People, Place and Purpose

UNITED KIGDOM / AGILITYPR.NEWS / March 24, 2026 / Ethical clothing and accessories brand IN OUR NAME has launched a new collection designed to bring its core belief to life: sustainability only matters when it improves real lives. Rooted in the brand’s philosophy, The Human Edit is shaped by a belief that sustainability only matters when it actively improves the lives of the people behind the clothes.

Most sustainable fashion stops at materials. IN OUR NAME starts with people - and what it means to build a fashion system where skill, visibility, and value are shared. Built around longevity rather than novelty, and on continuity rather than reinvention, each piece is designed to live far beyond its season.

Known for blending Africa's strong artistic heritage with joyful colour palettes, conscious craftsmanship, and earth-loving materials, IN OUR NAME creates collections with inherent range and lasting significance. The new collection reflects the brand's long-standing commitments - to skilled, fairly paid work in Kenya, to relationships with artisans built over time, and to growing those partnerships through continued training and support.

No element of the new collection has gone unconsidered, even those parts that would typically be thrown away. Fabric off-cuts from the designs are turned into reusable sanitary pads rather than being discarded, helping to tackle period poverty in Kenya while simultaneously curbing waste.

Founder Liza Njoki Colbeck’s experience spans strategy, sourcing, and production across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. She had seen first-hand the extraordinary skill that goes into making clothing and just as clearly, how often the people who make it are left out of the story. The Human Edit is her response: a way of designing and producing that keeps people visible, valued, and connected to what they create.

She comments, “Our Summer 2026 Sun Kissed Blooms collection captures the colour and intensity of Africa's untamed florals - translated into intricate, layered prints and a versatile wardrobe built for movement and long days that turn into evenings. The palette follows the light: soft golden honey and warm pinks at sunrise, sharpened through the day into vivid greens, warm yellows, and rich orange, deepening at dusk into richer.

“The collection beautifully creates impact in motion - long and short shirt dresses, flattering belted jumpsuits, floaty midi skirts, and matching co-ordinate sets, all designed to be versatile and transition from work to dinner and everything in between.

The new collection is available now, with contemporary African design at the forefront, evident in the gorgeous hand-drawn prints and considered silhouettes. Every garment carries intention, but also consequence, made with an awareness of who is involved in its creation and the impact it leaves behind.

Liza adds, “I’ve worked across global supply chains and seen how much skill sits behind the clothes we wear - and how invisible that labour often becomes. Making in Kenya allows us to build capability, not extract value. Sustainability isn’t a slogan. It’s about who benefits, who is seen, and whether the system leaves people better off than before.

“IN OUR NAME exists to prove that fashion can be human, regenerative, and commercially credible at the same time - when people are treated as central, not incidental.”
