TORONTO, ON / AGILITYPR.NEWS / August 12, 2025 / On Saturday, August 16, 2025, Toronto Humane Society invites the public to its largest annual event, Paws in the Park presented by Amazon—a free community celebration for pets and their people. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 11 River Street in Toronto.
Get ready for an unforgettable day featuring a dog-friendly Beer Garden, Kids’ Zone, delicious food and treats, local vendors, and other canine activities, Ask-an-Expert sessions, agility course, people and pet caricatures, The Puppy Glambot, pet portraits, and so much more!
But it’s not just about the fun—it’s about the impact. Paws in the Park Presented by Amazon is Toronto Humane Society’s largest fundraising event of the year, powering programs and services that help pets and people thrive together. Programs such as their Pet Food Bank, Community Days, Urgent Care Program, Pet Parent Support Network, and more.
“Paws in the Park is an incredible celebration of the human-animal bond,” says Phil Nichols, Chief Executive Officer, Toronto Humane Society. “It’s a joyful way for the community to come together, while making a real difference for animals in need and the families who love them.”
Until August 18, attendees and supporters can take part in the Pledge for Paws campaign to help raise $30,000 for Toronto Humane Society’s community support programs. Thanks to Amazon and Petline Insurance, donations will be matched up to $10,000—doubling the impact and $20,000 has been raised to date.
Thanks to generous Pledge for Paws donations, 15 dogs and 22 kittens (aged 3-5 months) are making the journey from an overcrowded shelter to Toronto Humane Society —just in time for Paws in the Park Presented by Amazon! Adoption conversations will take place onsite on a first-come, first-served basis, so interested adopters should plan to arrive early.
Meet some of the adorable pets who will be hoping to find their homes in Toronto!
