UNITED KINGDOM / AGILITYPR.NEWS / July 13, 2020 / For fans of the famous British Triumph motorcycle marque the next H&H Classics Live Auction Online on July 22nd offers of a feast of choice with no fewer than half the bikes on the auction block being Triumphs.
For a long time Triumph found its keenest market in the USA but now British fans are buying these bikes back from their American collectors, repatriating our national motorcycle heritage says Mark Bryan, Head of Sales for H&H Classics bikes. Among the delightful offering in this sale, three Triumphs stand out – a 1959 Triumph T120R Bonneville; a 1952 Triumph 6T Thunderbird; and a 1975 Triumph T160 Trident.
Located in Devon the 1959 Triumph T120R Bonneville - £15,000 to £16,000 is an early and beautifully restored example of the 'Tangerine Dream'. It is a British Icon of the day and one for the collector, says Mark Bryan of H&H Classics Motorcycle Department.
It has been subject to a total nut and bolt restoration a few years ago and not been used very much since.
Part of a private collection it comes with a V5c on file, dating certificate from the Triumph Owners Club confirming a correct and early numbers matching machine. General recommissioning is advised due to storage before use.
1959 Triumph T120R Bonneville - £15,000 to £16,000
1952 Triumph 6T Thunderbird - £10,000 TO £11,000
Located in Liversedge this Thunderbird has matching numbers, and is in good running order. It is an older restoration with a recent new BTH magneto and Alton alternator fitted.
UK registered on V5C it was used regularly last year and dry stored since.
1975 Triumph T160 Trident £10,000 - £12,000
Located in Liversedge this 1975 Triumph T160 Trident was UK registered with current V5C.
It has Matching numbers and is good running order.
Mostly original and unrestored it shows 7,300 miles and has been dry stored for last few months. It is a great example of this classic triple.
1971 Triumph T100R Daytona - £6,000 to £7,000
Based in Leicester this bike was exported to USA in 1971 andrepatriated in 2012 and registered back onto its original registration number.
It has atching numbers and is mostly unrestored and original and comes with a history file including original tax disc, old MOT's, original handbooks and associated paperwork. It is in running order and rare to find in this original condition.
