COLUMBUS, OHIO / AGILITYPR.NEWS / May 09, 2023 / Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens will host Save Ohio Bees™ founder Tracy Teuscher on Saturday, May 20 in celebration of World Bee Day as part of the Children’s Garden and Learning Pavilion activities.
“The Children's Garden focuses on gardening experiments, plant science, and seed exploration this month,” said Danielle Leininger, Children’s Garden Supervisor. “We’re looking forward to hosting Tracy to learn more about native bees and their connection to healthy ecosystems.”
Teuscher, a certified Ecotherapist and Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist, will give a special presentation in the Learning Pavilion at 11:00 a.m. and noon.
“World Bee Day presents a special opportunity to celebrate the wonder and the benefits of gentle native bees,” said Tracy Teuscher, Save Ohio Bees™ founder. “We will explore how native bees differ from honey bees and how they contribute to the sustainability of flowers, food, and forests. Though one in four are facing extinction, there are many ways to help them thrive in our communities.”
Teuscher will be available from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. to facilitate World Bee Day activities and distribute wildflower seed mix provided by OPN Seed.
