We’ve all seen the headlines and heartbreaking images of healthcare and emergency staff working beyond their capacity to save and preserve lives. As a small token of our appreciation, we at SkinHQ are pledging free facial treatments to NHS and emergency staff. 

In recent months, our lives have changed beyond recognition. The outbreak of the coronavirus across Europe has plunged society across the UK into lockdown, seeing the closure of hundreds of schools and businesses across the country. We know that staying at home to save lives is a small sacrifice to make - especially when we see the sacrifices being made by NHS and emergency staff. Like the rest of the country, SkinHQ have been touched by the bravery and professionalism of our frontline workers. They are the pride of our country and inspire us to fight on in the face of this cruel, indiscriminate virus. 

As each day of lockdown passes, we know that solidarity and pulling together when we eventually emerge out of these strange times. And, when we do come out of this - and we will - we will owe a huge debt of gratitude to those who risked everything to keep us safe and healthy. The face of the exhausted health worker has become a symbol of the struggle against Covid-19, and those heroes have become a common sight on social media, with skin irritation, dry skin and painful red imprints regularly highlighted by those who are consistently using protective equipment, including masks and facial shields.

We owe these people a debt, and we know that offering free facial treatments represents only a small fraction of what they deserve. However, we do hope that these offers give NHS and emergency staff something to look forward to when we do eventually come out of lockdown and back into normality. Speaking following Skin HQ’s pledge to offer NHS and emergency staff free facial treatments, company founder Haroon Danis highlighted the sacrifices being made by these heroes to protect, preserve and save lives:
