Keighley native Mason Brewer is stepping into the world of business ownership with the launch of Poppies of Bradford, a franchise of the well-established domestic cleaning brand, Poppies. After a successful career as a sports lecturer in further and higher education, Brewer is embarking on a new journey, bringing premium cleaning services to homes across Bradford.

Brewer's decision to transition from academia to entrepreneurship was driven by a desire for a better work-life balance and the ambition to build something of his own. "I have always had the passion and determination to be my own boss and build a business, but the problem was deciding which sector I would work within having only ever known fitness, sport, and exercise," Brewer explained. "Starting a business from scratch was daunting, and after doing some research, I came across franchising and the Poppies business model. There was no way that I could turn this opportunity down."

Poppies, founded in 1980 in Durham, operates a network of franchisees providing high-standard cleaning services in 30 locations across the UK. The brand's reputation for quality and reliability, coupled with the support offered to its franchisees, made it an ideal choice for Brewer.

Brewer, who has lived in Bradford and Keighley for every one of his 24 years, is thrilled to be launching his business in his home county of Yorkshire.
