GENEVA, SWITZERLAND / AGILITYPR.NEWS / March 31, 2025 / SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, has published SafeGuardS 043.25, highlighting the UK’s Health and Safety Executive’s revision of the Great Britain mandatory classification and labeling list (GB MCL list) for substances and mixtures.
The GB MCL list identifies hazardous substances that require legal classification and labeling information to protect workers and consumers.
Announced in February 2025, the sixth edition of the GB MCL list incorporates new or revised mandatory classification and labeling for 46 substances.
The amendments to the list will enter into force on February 15, 2025, with a final compliance deadline of August 15, 2026.
