Healthcare Company Offers ’Hassle Free ‘ Rapid 1 Hour PCR Service for Airline Passengers at Liverpool Airport With Free Drive & Park Service

UNITED KINGDOM / AGILITYPR.NEWS / May 24, 2021 / SALUTARIS PEOPLE & TAG OFFER FREE ‘DRIVE & PARK’ SERVICE WITH RAPID PCR TESTING FOR AIR TRAVEL

HASSLE FREE 1-HOUR PCR TEST SERVICE AVAILABLE FOR LIVERPOOL AIRPORT PASSENGERS

SERVICE TO COVER LIVERPOOL, CHESHIRE, MANCHESTER & NORTH WALES AIRLINE PASSENGERS

As restrictions for air travel are now lifting healthcare company SALUTARIS PEOPLE – which is based at Liverpool John Lennon Airport - has launched a 1-hour rapid PCR test service with a free ‘drive and park service’ for airline passengers to get their Fit To Fly PCR Covid test prior to flying.

The service – effectively door to door - will allow any airline passenger to book their test online - drive up to the airport without entering the terminal building – and get free parking right outside the Salutaris /TAG test suite. Passengers will be able to have their test administered by trained healthcare staff in a matter of minutes and then drive away with results in the hour.

The purpose-built private test suite - which is located adjacent to the airport in an existing overflow car park - is a joint venture between Salutaris People, Akea Life, Test Assurance Group and Liverpool John Lennon Airport. It provides airline passengers from the surrounding areas of Liverpool, North Wales and Cheshire with a pre-flight rapid PCR service that is simple and easy to book and makes the whole process hassle free.

The test suite has its own on-site laboratory testing service allowing PCR tests to be administered by trained healthcare staff with test results returned within the hour. Passengers wanting to fly can follow a simple 4 step plan to booking their PCR test.

Stage 1 Passengers book a slot through Salutaris/TAG www.salutarispeople.com

Stage 2  Passengers travel to Liverpool John Lennon Airport and drive up to the Salutaris People /TAG test centre with free car parking right outside the test suite.

Stage 3 A trained healthcare staff member will administer the PCR test in minutes

Stage 4 Results back within the hour and Fit To Fly certificate emailed.

The service will be offered to all passengers flying from Liverpool John Lennon Airport, but is also open to airline passengers who live in Liverpool, North Wales and Cheshire and who may be flying from other UK airports to their holidays. It provides passengers with the comfort of a local convenient service with rapid results on their doorstep.

Commenting on the launch of the service Ben Paglia MD of Cheshire based AKEA Life the clinical partners to Salutaris People said;

“The service we provide at Liverpool John Lennon Airport and our test suite at Wilmslow is quick, efficient and hassle free with trained healthcare staff.  For anyone who lives in Liverpool, Lancashire, North Wales or Cheshire and who is flying from John Lennon Airport they can come along to our testing suite  prior to travelling and get a fast and efficient rapid PCR test with minimal fuss. They can also use the service if they live locally but are flying from another UK airport prior to their trip.

We wanted to provide a simplified 4 stage process for airline passengers delivering rapid PCR testing with the latest advice and what testing is required for destination countries.  We are right next to the airport and have over 30 years healthcare expertise. Our trained healthcare professionals administer PCR tests with a simple and efficient service. Tests can be booked through our partners Test Assurance Group (TAG) and we provide free car parking at our test suites. Tests are administered in a matter of minutes by our healthcare staff with results back and a Fit to Fly certificate within the hour."

The Standard PCR test costs £99 for a Fit To Fly test delivered within 24 hours. The Express Rapid PCR test costs £175 with results in 1 hour.

It also means passengers will not be subject to potential delays from the postal service, tests going missing and “Unclear” results being returned, which happened late last year.  By having the rapid PCR test administered by trained healthcare staff significantly reduces the chances for “Unclear” test results when passengers self-administer the PCR test.  “Unclear” test results from the labs are also not refunded, meaning a passenger would need to take a secondary PCR test at further cost to themselves and wait again for results.

Salutaris People MD Ross Tomkins said.

“We are all keen to book holidays now that restrictions are being gradually lifted. However, where the public self-administer PCR tests, they can potentially get this wrong and it can lead to an ‘Unclear’ result. When this happens the laboratories, won’t refund the cost of the ‘Unclear’ test. This then leads to delays with travel plans and a further test being booked and more costs to the passenger. By having a trained healthcare provider administering the PCR test, it is done right first time and minimises any risk of an “Unclear”. In the unlikely event that if that did happen to one of our customers, we would automatically refund the customer or provide another free test.”  By having the tests administered on site at our lab also ensures that test results are never lost or mixed up thus giving complete peace of mind to travel plans."

The healthcare company is  on the UK Government’s approved list of Covid-19 test providers. Salutaris People will have 5 clinics operating by the end of this month as air restrictions are gradually lifted. Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Wilmslow in Cheshire are operational while Newcastle Upon Tyne, Stockton-On-Tees and Sunderland will be operational by June.  Both the Liverpool and Wilmslow sites will provide Covid-19 testing for airline passengers wishing to fly from Manchester Airport and Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
