Hemel Hempstead employees receive 11-point health check

A Hemel Hempstead business park held a two-day event where all employees were offered a free health and wellbeing check, with expert on-the-spot advice.

Breakspear Park commissioned Nuffield Health to visit the offices and give all employees the opportunity to understand more about their cholesterol, blood pressure, body mass index and sugar levels. The initiative fell under Breakspear Park’s ‘Park Life’ campaign which aims to help achieve a better work life balance for all employees.

Nearly 80 people participated in the assessment, taking the opportunity to learn more about the state of their current health, identify any areas that need addressing and receive expert advice.

Dina Mistry, Marketing Manager of Breakspear Park, commented: “The event was originally planned as a one-day event, however, we received so much interest we had to host a second day to ensure that everyone could be accommodated.

“Nuffield Health also gave all those tested a 14-day family pass to their gym to help kick-start any new fitness programmes for those who decided they needed to make lifestyle changes following their results. We look forward to helping more members of staff improve their health and wellbeing via similar events in the near future.”
