Industry Veteran Joins Organization For At-Risk Youth

Chris Beach to become CEO At Washington County Youth Treatment Organization

Counseling and Consultation Services, Inc. (CCS) has appointed Chris Beach as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective April 1st. With more than 25 years of experience within the industry, Beach will oversee strategies for the treatment of at-risk youth through the organization’s SteppenStone Youth Treatment Services group.

“I look forward to working within a non-profit organization that is dedicated to helping youth within Washington and Sullivan counties that have significant challenges in becoming happy and productive within our society,” says Beach. Before joining CCS, Chris served in a similar role for Camelot Care Centers, a multi-state for profit organization with offices in Kingsport, Tenn.

SteppenStone Youth Treatment Services is a fully integrated closed treatment organization specializing in the treatment of adolescent teenage males experiencing emotional and behavioral problems. SteppenStone provides 24-hour residential, day, after school, and outpatient treatment services.

SteppenStone also provides academic services from a fully accredited education program. The organization is designed to interrupt the cycle of abuse and mistreatment while developing pro-social attitudes and behavior. SteppenStone is dedicated to positively impacting the lives of these young boys so they may have the opportunity to lead a healthy life. The organization currently serves about 80 individuals from locations in Limestone and Johnson City, Tenn.

Beach has unique insight into the challenges facing youth as he was adopted by parents who worked at Holston United Methodist Home For Children in Greeneville, Tenn. Their encouragement drew Chris’ interest in the field of social work and a degree from East Tennessee State University. He rose through several youth treatment and care organizations until his appointment in 2017 as CEO of Camelot Care Centers.

“Few understand better what strategies can provide the best outcomes for at-risk youth than Chris,” says Paul Bryan Gibson II, Chairman of the Board of CCS. “We are fortunate to have Chris joining us and we look forward to his leadership.”
