UNITED KINGDOM / AGILITYPR.NEWS / December 17, 2020 / hero, one of the UK’s leading health-tech and wellbeing providers, has joined forces with Leeds fresh-food delivery service, Lean Lunch. Together, this forward-thinking duo is striving to make healthy, nutritious lunches the new norm and, ultimately, enhance people’s wellbeing.
Since launching in 2017, Lean Lunch has been delivering freshly-made, totally tasty, nourishing food to the offices of Leeds city centre.
This new partnership means that hero’s clients can now purchase healthy, discounted Lean Lunch meals through Navigator – hero’s unique digital service app that supports people with all areas of their personal health and wellbeing.
Joe Gaunt, Founder and CEO of hero, shares his excitement at this new partnership and the potential of what it could achieve: “It’s fantastic to be working with Lean Lunch, a fellow scale-up business which shares our passion for promoting people’s wellbeing one step – or meal – at a time.
“At hero, we recognise the unquestionable importance of good nutrition, especially at work, and it forms a key part of our ‘whole health’ approach to supporting people’s wellbeing.”
Mexican chicken goodness bowl, warming king prawn laksa, and South-Indian style chickpea curry are just some of the mouthwatering dishes that hero's clients can now enjoy.
Sat Mann, Founder of Lean Lunch, added: “We're delighted to partner with hero and join the mission of energising employees through their holistic wellbeing programme. Eating well is critical to supporting wellbeing; every meal you eat is an opportunity to give your physical and mental health a boost.
“We make that easy with feel-good food that helps keep your energy up and your body and mind on top form. It's great for us to share our passion with an innovative partner in hero and we're really excited to be announcing this partnership.”
Partnering at a time when people are more aware of their health and nutrition than ever before, wanting to maximise this to boost their immunity and reduce their vulnerability to viruses and diseases, hero and Lean Lunch are perfectly positioned to help support this growing number of health and wellbeing-conscious consumers.
According to research*, eating unhealthily is linked to a 66 per cent increased risk of loss of productivity. Furthermore, a 2019 report** by the Financial Times, in conjunction with health insurance provider, Vitality, suggests that poor dietary choices and sedentary lifestyles resulting in presenteeism (reduced productivity while at work) and absenteeism (time away from work due to illness or disability) are now costing the UK 38 workdays per year.
That being said, various studies*** have also shown that it’s possible to positively influence presenteeism and absenteeism through preventative health measures, including nutritional support.
hero also boasts a strong and experienced team of expert nutritionists, which can further support clients’ nutritional needs and goals by helping to create holistic wellbeing programmes that can be applied within working hours for those with busy lifestyles.
Joe adds: “At hero, we’re doing everything we can to ensure that no stone is left unturned when it comes to the wellbeing support we provide to our clients. Our partnership with Lean Lunch shows our continued desire to evolve and innovate.
“We believe this is just the start and, together, we can create positive and lasting change by enabling people to turn the tide on unhealthy eating habits and live happier, healthier, and more productive lives.”
