Where to Vegan, the UK’s leading 100 percent vegan product and eaterie finder, kicks off 2020 with the first of its regular monthly foodie events at its 100 percent Vegan Market this Saturday!
Following the huge success and demand for the WTV Vegan events which started in September last year, Where to Vegan will host the markets In Leicester monthly, on the second Saturday of each month, and is in the process of rolling out the events nationally over the coming year.
The markets showcase the best of the region’s vegan traders, and vegan food and product producers as well as the city’s beautiful New Market Square. January’s market will see delicious vegan food and drink on sale from Leceistershire’s best and brightest vegan traders including:

Where to Vegan founder, Hiren Chohan, who was born and raised in Leicester said: “We’ve been thrilled by the response and demand for the Where to Vegan markets and are so excited about rolling out and adding to the WTV vegan events concept around the country this year.”
He added: “For passionate vegans in the area Saturday’s vegan markets are becoming a must do and for any of the record-breaking number of people signed up for Veganuary this year, this month’s event is a great way to pick up a 100 percent vegan lunch on the go and get plenty of vegan inspiration for the rest of the month!”

January’s Where to Vegan market takes place Saturday January 11th 10am-4pm, on the city’s New Market Square (Leicester LE1 5HB). Entry is free and all ages are welcome - just come hungry for fabulous vegan food and drink!

There are currently an estimated 600,000 vegans in the UK according to The Vegan Society and this number has grown from 150,000 over the past four years. A record 350,000 haveo Veganuary this year and 250,000 people took part in 2019.
Veganism is regarded as one of the top ways of preventing climate change and animal cruelty. Sales of vegan and vegetarian products in the UK were said to be worth £572m in 2017 (Mintel) and sales are expected to rise to £658m by 2021.
Vegans eat a plant-based diet and avoid all animal foods from meat, fish, shellfish, insects, dairy, milk and honey.
