The new branch, which is the largest independent builder’s merchant in the area, is located on a 1.5acre site on Link Park, Chickerell in Weymouth. The branch is designed to be a one-stop shop to local building trade, offering a wealth of expertise and an extensive range of products.

Newly opened on 27 August, MKM Weymouth will welcome trade and retail customers to showcase a wide range of building essentials for roofing, joinery, plumbing, heating, timber supplies, kitchens and bathrooms.

The branch also offers a range of services including landscaping, building take off, a brick matching service, as well as free measure and 3D design services for kitchens and bathrooms.

The outlet is part of the MKM’s ambitious expansion plans, which have taken on significant momentum over the past few years. Fast-growing MKM has added 15 new branches to its network in just over two years making Weymouth the 66th branch, with more planned this year.

MKM Weymouth is headed up by an experienced industry duo – Neil Stroud and Jon Worrall.

Weymouth man Jon brings a wealth of expertise to the role after 23 years in the merchant industry and having started as an apprentice carpenter. Neil’s experience spans 28 years in the merchant industry and follows his early career as a builder.
