A dog-loving, London-based entrepreneur showing at year’s Crufts (The NEC Birmingham, March 5-8, 2020) has told of the extraordinary success of his cleaning brand SPh2ONGE, designed to make boring cleaning jobs fun, as he launches his new high absorbency ‘No More Wet Dog!’ pet towel.
Friends of Christopher Foster, 35, laughed when he told them he was leaving his estate agent’s job to found SPh2ONGE in 2017 after deciding to design and create a range of high absorbency sponges, cleaning cloths, microfibre cloths and pet towels.
But he’s the one laughing now.

The new ‘No More Wet Dog!’ pet towel (£12.95) has proved so popular that Christopher’s initial stock of the 5 star reviewed product sold out within weeks.
Meanwhile, sales of original brightly coloured super absorbent SPh2ONGEs come in their thousands with SPh2ONGE turnover going from zero to hundreds of thousands in just 2 years. The company expected to expand to the USA shortly.

The SPh2ONGE range is loved by social media influencers and has been lauded by top Cleanfluencer Mrs Hinch (@MrsHinchHome). SPh2ONGE has featured on ITV’s This Morning and this Spring Christopher is will star in a winning appearance on top BBC One consumer show, The Customer is Always Right.
SPh2ONGE’s popularity has grown almost entirely via facebook and Instagram with cleaning influencers (‘Cleanfluencers’) raving about the products. The brand is now moving solidly onto the High Street with the brand stocked at major retailers including: QD stores, Yorkshire Trading Co, Semichem, Blue Diamond Garden Centres and Robert Dyas.

And as a nod to SPh2ONGE’s success on social media and intending to be a positive force in British business, the company last year launched a Community Award to highlight remarkable individuals who demonstrate selflessness, generosity and kindness in their lives and make others’ lives better.
The first winner, an NHS healthcare Assistant from Devon, Summer Taylor was crowned before Christmas and nominations for the next award are open until March 31st with the winner expected to be announced during London’s Ideal Home Show (March 27- April 13th) where SPh2ONGE will also show.
Christopher Foster said: “I love dogs - especially my auntie’s 9-year-old Staffie, Abbie - and it struck me that SPh2ONGE’s super absorbent qualities could be put to good use to solve the problem of dogs jumping into cars or rushing into the house when they’re still wet from their walks. Turns out I was right - because people love the No More Wet Dog Towel - so much so we’ve had to restock!”
