Digital brochure details the ship’s LNG initiative, design and amenities
Ahead of the October delivery of Costa Cruises’ newest flagship, Costa Smeralda, the cruise line has released a comprehensive electronic brochure to acquaint travel advisors and cruisers with the state-of-the-art ship.
The detailed online catalog offers insight to the ship’s sustainable use of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and spectacular features — covering everything from deck plans and itineraries to the incredible amenities guests can expect to discover onboard.
“The Costa Smeralda e-brochure gives a vivid and comprehensive look at our new ship, conveniently compiling all of the important details in one place for quick access,” said Scott Knutson, vice president of sales and marketing for Costa Cruises North America. “The brochure not only serves as a useful selling tool for travel advisors, but also gives consumers an opportunity to familiarize themselves with Costa Smeralda ahead of its highly anticipated debut.”
Beginning in November 2019, the ship will offer seven-day western Mediterranean cruises until April 2021. The e-brochure features a map of the itinerary, daily schedule with port arrival and departure times, departure dates with flexible embarkation and debarkation ports, and pricing.
A Tribute to Italy
Exploring all facets of the ship, conceived as a tribute to Italy and honoring one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in Sardinia — the Emerald Coast — the e-brochure offers an introduction to the ship’s décor through renderings. The catalog also introduces the ship’s designer, world-famous Adam D. Tihany, and outlines onboard venues dedicated to Italy’s iconic landmarks and piazzas.
Environmental Excellence
Costa Smeralda will be Costa’s first cruise ship to be fueled by LNG, the cleanest fossil fuel in the world. The e-brochure outlines this sustainable initiative and gives insight into Costa’s commitment to the environment.
Amenities and Venues
From top to bottom and bow to stern the e-brochure explores all of the ship’s experiences and amenities through colorful imagery and detailed descriptions. Through the catalog, guests and travel advisors can discover more about Costa Smeralda’s cabins, dining and bar venues, entertainment, spa, fitness facilities, pools and family spaces.
Accessing the E-Brochure
Travel Advisors can access the Costa Smeralda e-brochure at Costa Extra — the cruise line’s newly redesigned portal for travel professionals. Consumers can access it via the cruise line’s website using the “Online Catalogue” link.
