New Research Shows Humans have the ability to change their genetics by unlocking the positive influence of the subconscious mind FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 10th May, 2019. According to research conducted over more than 50 years, doctors are suggesting that genetic predisposition may not be solely to blame for disease, illness and increased health problems. It’s becoming clear that humans have the ability to change their genetics by unlocking the positive influence of the subconscious mind. Known in medical circles as the study of epigenetics, the research shows that each individual person can control their destiny simply by changing their way of thinking, and in turn, changing the chemistry of their blood. The research is based on the fact that the blood’s chemistry is derived from the images in our minds, and the way we respond to outside influences. Seeing someone you love prompts the brain to releasehormones such as dopamine (pleasure), vasopressin (enhances attractiveness), oxytocin (bonding), and growth hormone (enhances vitality). On the flip side, something scary or stressful sees cortisol and norepinephrine (stress hormones) and inhibitory cytokines (hormones that suppress the immune system) released into the individual’s system. Dr. Bruce Lipton has been conducting ground-breaking research into epigenetics since 1967 and says science recognises the power of thought. “Scientific bodies acknowledge that less than 1 percent of disease is due to genetics. It’s environment and lifestyle that are responsible for the healthcare crisis that is currently affecting the planet,” Dr. Lipton said. Reprogramming your mind for a healthier future can even be done while you’re sleeping, by listening to self-help recordings or podcasts as you drift off at night. The positive information skips past the sleeping conscious mind and is absorbed by the subconscious. Repetition of positive mantras or choosing to have an upbeat attitude each and every day will become a habit if practiced often enough. The subconscious will remember the repeated behaviour and it will become a part of your mindset without you even thinking about it. Practicing mindfulness can help bring about a more positive you, and fast. Remembering to engage with and enjoy the moment you’re in can be difficult but rewarding. Teach yourself to focus on your conscious mind, rather than listening to the niggling problems the subconscious is constantly presenting you with. Editor for Believe magazine, Symmone Gordon, said the study of epigenetics was a beacon of hope for many people. “The revelation that we can control our health and happiness through hypnosis, repetition, energy psychology and mindfulness is amazing. The effects of each practice have long been known to have positive effects; the fact they can be used to reprogram genetics brings these to a whole new level,” Symmone said.
