LONDON, UK / AGILITYPR.NEWS / April 02, 2026 / Everlight Radiology, a leading global provider of teleradiology services, today announced a strategic transition in its medical leadership team. These appointments mark a significant milestone in the organisation’s growth, further strengthening its commitment to clinical governance and radiologist support across its Australia, New Zealand (ANZ), and UK and Ireland (UKI) operations.
Strategic leadership for global growth
Dr Meredith Thomas has been appointed as the new ANZ Medical Director. A Clinical Director at Everlight for the past three years, Dr Thomas brings extensive experience from both the public and private healthcare sectors. She succeeds Dr Avi Saks, who is stepping down after seven years of leadership to focus on his roles as a Clinical Director for the ANZ Medical Leadership Council (MLC) and a reporting Radiologist.
"The role of the Medical Director really comes down to two key focuses: client engagement and radiologist engagement," said Dr Thomas. "As we continue to grow, it is essential that we maintain our commitment to excellence while ensuring we provide the best possible environment for our clinicians to deliver high-quality care."
In the UKI region, Dr Clare Ashwin takes on the role of UKI Medical Director. Dr Ashwin has been with Everlight since 2017 and has spent the last three years on the UK MLC. She has worked across both UK and Australian operations, providing her with a unique global perspective on clinical standards.
"My goal is to ensure Everlight is seen as a true partner and a seamless extension of our clients' local clinical departments," Dr Ashwin commented. "By building these deep relationships and integrating our expertise with their teams, we can continue to deliver the highest standards of care."
Evolution to Global Chief Medical Officer
As part of this transition, outgoing UKI Medical Director Dr Dan Rose will move into the newly created role of Global Chief Medical Officer (CMO). Having chaired the Global MLC for over four years, Dr Rose will now oversee the strategic clinical direction of Everlight globally.
"I have been privileged to lead as the UKI Medical Director since 2017," said Dr Rose. "As Everlight expands, passing the baton to Dr Clare Ashwin is the right step for our future plans. These are exciting times at Everlight and I have no doubt that both Meredith and Clare are the right leaders to allow us to make the next leaps forward."o healthcare providers worldwide.
