Following on from Sarah Moore’s exciting achievement of qualifying for the W Series 2019, we can now confirm that her elder brother and professional racing driver, Nigel Moore, has been signed up to drive for the Inter Europol Competition team in an LMP3 Ligier for the entire 2019/20 European Le Mans Series (ELMS).
Nigel will be teaming up with regular Inter Europol Competition driver, Martin Hippe, of Germany, in the team’s #13 car.
Hippe said: “I am really happy with my new teammate, Nigel. He has demonstrated how good a driver he is and has had several stunning performances, especially in Asia, and I am particularly looking forward to working closely with him.”
Moore added: “I am delighted to sign with Inter Europol Competition and be part of the team for the ELMS series. It’s a great team, and it’s an exciting challenge for me. I’m hopeful that we will be competitive from the word go, and to continue my relationship with the famous Ligier marque is the icing on the cake.”
Inter Europol Competition Team Manager, Sascha Fassbender, said: “I am very pleased to welcome Nigel to our team. He is one of the strongest and most competitive drivers in LMP3. Everyone in the sport is aware of his speed in LMP3 and also when he raced at Le Mans in the Gulf-sponsored Tockwith Motorsports (TMS) LMP2 Ligier, steering the car to a top-10 finish. We have in our driver pairing of Nigel and Martin two champions of the Asian Le Mans Series (ALMS).”

TMS Owner, Simon Moore, commented: “I can’t begin to hide how proud I am of all our drivers, and the fact that we have had wonderful news about my eldest son and eldest daughter in the space of a week is amazing. As a team manager, I would say that this is what TMS is about, simply managing, promoting and bringing up our young drivers to reach the highest level possible and as a father, I’m lost for words.”
Should Nigel and his team win the ELMS, then an entry into Le Mans 2020 will be one of the given prizes awaiting them and Nigel can’t wait for that possibility.
