Designed to increase flexibility, improve video coding activities and support integration with operation and business processes, Prime Vision’s web coding platform has allowed PostNL to radically improve its decryption of uncoded mail and parcels. 

It provides a central platform for all mail streams – letters, bundles, parcels, Chinese parcels and revenue protection. Increased flexibility is assured by the dynamic optimisation of the coding activity pool and improved scalability of the operation. Dynamic throughput of connection between the coding platform and the image controller and the possibility of cloud-based deployment also widen its scope.

This flexibility is complemented by improved functional support which, for example, allows the change of coding tasks to be directly implemented for all coding operators. New functions and coding tasks are easily added and the platform is also suitable for direct connection with a data-entry partner. Realtime insights on key performance indicators (KPI), volume, buffers and idle time are all provided.

For PostNL Data Solutions, the resultant reduction in manual coding has solved two major issues for its customers. It has elevated sorting and distribution times to the required KPI level and decreased overhead costs. Its Prime Vision platform continues to ensure that the coding process is as efficient and effective as possible.
