Radius climbs to 19th in the Top Track 100

Crewe, UK — Radius Payment Solutions, the group behind a range of innovative fuel card, telematics, telecoms and insurance products has been recognised as one of the UK’s largest private companies. Ranked 19th in the 2019 Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 100 list, turnover has grown to 2.5 billion in 2019 under the guidance of founder Bill Holmes.

The 1.2m fuel cards that Radius provides to fleet operators are used to buy more than 3bn litres of diesel a year and its telematics solution is currently installed in over 120k vehicles across the globe. Now a key global player providing an array of products and services to over 300,000 customers, the group employs over 1,400 and recently opened a state-of-the-art 66,000ft campus headquarters in Crewe, continuing to provide numerous jobs in the local area.

Radius has largely grown organically since Bill Holmes first established a fuel card company in 1990 and is now one of the world’s leading suppliers of fleet management solutions to the fleet and logistics markets. Over the last few years, the Cheshire-based firm has made a number of acquisitions including telecoms provider Adam Phones in late 2018 and earlier this year, Plant-i, a supplier of tracking and security solutions for the plant and construction sectors.

“To achieve a top 20 ranking in the Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 100 league table is a real accolade, we have gone from 73rd in 2012 to 31st in 2016 and now 19th in 2019. This demonstrates what we have accomplished and is evidence of the impact we are making on the sectors that we serve” said Bill Holmes, Chief Executive of Radius Payment Solutions. “With the recent opening of our new HQ, we have set a course for more significant growth in 2019 and beyond and we are looking to grow the business overseas where we are also seeing substantial demand for our technology.”

The Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 100 league table ranks Britain’s 100 private companies with the biggest sales. Compiled annually by Fast Track, this year’s Top Track 100 achieved combined sales growth of 14 percent to £220bn and profits grew 15 percent to £24.6bn; both records for the league table.
