A highly qualified and dynamic British start-up CEO, Richard has decades of experience providing strategic advisory across the financial services sector, advising UK pension sponsors, trustees, and private equity and as the foundational advisor to the UK Pension Regulator and Pension Protection Fund. Farr has a proven ability to drive growth and navigate complex markets. His entrepreneurial vision and expertise will help lead Solomon Global’s growth strategy and further strengthen its executive team.

Richard’s career highlights include:

• Senior Advisor at Cardano Advisory Limited (current)
• Pension and Restructuring Partner at BDO LLP (2009 - 2015)
• Founder and UK Head of Pensions at Swiss Re (2007 - 2009)
• Founder and Lead Pension Corporate Advisor (and Partner) at Price Waterhouse Coopers (2001- 2007)
• Lead adviser to the UK Pension Protection Fund on its initial risk-based levy and the UK Pensions Regulator on its original Clearance Guidance rules

Richard invests strategically in start-ups and JVs, and his entrepreneurial background also includes founding and leading a range of successful ventures.

Richard is a Chartered Accountant and holds a BCom in Accountancy from Birmingham University. He is registered with the FCA as a CF30 (Controlled Function) and is also a 'Fellow of the Institute for Turnaround', and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
