Road Scholar Returns to NYC!

UNITED KINGDOM / AGILITYPR.NEWS / August 03, 2021 / In a July 17th article, The New York Times suggested that as New York re-opens, it will “look for culture to lead the way.”  So many of us have missed the excitement, bustle, and cultural stimulation of New York City due to the pandemic, and it makes sense to us that New York’s cultural offerings are what will bring people back to this enduring and remarkable city.

We at Road Scholar hope so, and we plan on doing our part to support this city we love. We are an educational non-profit organization that offers thousands of programs for boomers and seniors, including programs for grandparents and their grandchildren and those geared toward multiple generations. Beginning this September, we are offering nine programs—five for older adults and four for grandparents/grandchildren and multi-generations to New York City.

(For the safety of all, adults must be fully vaccinated, and non-vaccinated grandchildren will need to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test to attend a Road Scholar program.

On our programs, participants will literally go “behind the scenes” as they engage with theater producers, directors, actors, musicians, architectural historians, and others depending on the program. Hands-on experiences will give them with an intimate look into New York City’s cultural scene—whether they choose to focus on New York’s theater, opera, television, or film industries or delve into New York’s neighborhoods and boroughs.
