SGS highlights new online Certificate of Conformity service for Morocco
GENEVA, SWITZERLAND / AGILITYPR.NEWS / March 13, 2025 / SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, provides an introduction to a new online service for managing Certificates of Conformity (CoC).
Announced by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Morocco in collaboration with PortNet, the new program is accessible via the National Single Window for Foreign Trade Procedures and part of a national strategy for simplifying and modernizing trade procedures.
Requests for CoCs will be centralized, reducing processing times and improving operational efficiency. The digitization program is intended to simplify certificate management processes for importers and exporters, enhancing transparency.
As an inspection body, SGS plays a key role in the new system, conducting assessments and issuing certification via the PortNet platform. This initiative has required system integration, process digitization, tracking and traceability and close collaboration with customs and port authorities.
The new online system advances Morocco’s modernization of foreign trade procedures, giving both exporters/importers and inspection bodies like SGS an innovative and secure way to facilitate trade and improve the competitiveness of Moroccan companies in international markets.
