Section of Old Howard Road to close March 15 for construction

Closure expected to last about two weeks

TEMPLE, TX (March 9, 2021) – Beginning March 15, Old Howard Road will be closed between McLane Parkway Central Pointe Parkway. Detours will be in place. Drivers should use caution in the area and pay attention to all traffic control devices.

 The section will close for approximately two weeks as part of the ongoing Outer Loop construction project.

The Outer Loop is a multi-phase project that will connect to Interstate 35 in North and South Temple. With the continued growth of the city, the Outer Loop will become an essential outlet to reduce congestion on roadways.
