WEST DES MOINES, IA / AGILITYPR.NEWS / May 17, 2023 / Premier Pickleball and Eatertainment Venue Anticipated to Open Spring 2024

Construction has kicked-off in La Vista, Neb. for the newest location of eatertainment destination Smash Park, which will feature an updated venue design. Known for its social mix of food, drinks, events and recreation – including its flagship activity, pickleball – Smash Park was named one of the 2023 top 25 NextGen Casual concepts in the country by FSR Magazine.

The La Vista location will contain several new features that include:

• An enhanced second-floor 21-and-older Paddle Club featuring a darts lounge, karaoke “sing suite,” live entertainment, and rooftop deck
• An expanded arcade room
• An area for axe-throwing
• Duckpin bowling
• An indoor cornhole arena

Smash Park is building more than 45,000 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor space for its signature pickleball courts, craft food and drinks, activities, and games. Its 30,000 sq. ft. indoor space will house pickleball courts, a restaurant, three bars, an arcade room, axe-throwing, duckpin bowling, indoor cornhole arena, big-screen HDTVs for sports viewing, and a private karaoke “sing suite.” The 15,000 sq. ft. outdoor patio, The Yard, will include three additional pickleball courts, outdoor shuffleboard, rooftop bar, televisions, and yard games. There will be private meeting space with full A/V capabilities for corporate meetings and team-building events.

Omaha general contractor Lund-Ross will oversee construction. Smash Park is anticipated to open in the spring of 2024.
