WEST DES MOINES, IOWA / AGILITYPR.NEWS / March 21, 2024 / Smash Park’s original West Des Moines location, which opened in 2018, is debuting an interior remodel and host of new features that refresh and add new eatertainment experiences for guests.

Following is a round-up of what’s new at Smash Park:

Venue Upgrades

For fans of Smash Park’s signature activity, pickleball, there are new resurfaced pickleball courts and upgraded amenities such as new nets, posts, and tinted windows. The gaming area now includes new arcade games, interactive darts, and axe-throwing. And, the remaining 30,000 square feet of indoor space is sporting a new interior design.

Interactive Party Darts

This next-level interactive game makes darts more exciting and memorable through the incorporation of technology that reacts to each player’s performance. Players can check their stats, take group photos, and have fun with the feedback, and there are game options for beginners and more competitive and advanced players.

Axe-Throwing

Axe-throwing at Smash Park offers a new twist on the standard game with an interactive system that provides an arcade-like experience. Traditional axe-throwing is available as well, but those who want more than the bullseye can choose between 10 different games to play with varying difficulty levels. Sensors provide automatic scoring and players can create avatars and build custom profiles for repeat playing.

New Food Menu

Almost the entire menu of scratch-driven offerings has been reimagined, with featured items that include Bang Bang Shrimp, Pork Tenderloin Sandwich, Dynamite Fried Chicken, Smoked Wings, Caribbean Shrimp Bowl and Meaty Mac & Cheese. Smash Park’s Smoked Wings were recently named one of the top options in the Twin Cities area. Additionally, Smash Park has new lunch specials that include “You Pick 2” meals, half off Acai Bowls, and $3 off handhelds. View the new menu here.

New Drink Menu

The drink menu now includes a whole new lineup of specialty cocktails that include the Brown Sugar Bourbon Martini, the Keep Your Gin Up, and the Moonlit Dew. View the drink menu here.

Smash Park announced in March 2024 that it would open a new location Westerville, Ohio, a northeast suburb of Columbus. The Columbus metro location will join Smash Park’s other venues in the Twin Cities, West Des Moines, and its soon-to-open location in the Omaha area. Smash Park has plans for further expansion in several markets throughout the country.
