AUSTIN, TX / AGILITYPR.NEWS / January 29, 2026 / Southern Careers Institute (SCI) is proud to announce a new relationship with the Texas Trucking Association (TXTA) Foundation, creating a new scholarship opportunity for students enrolled in SCI’s Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) programs.

Through this partnership, Southern Careers Institute has been approved as a participating institution in the TXTA Foundation’s Trade and Technical Scholarship Program. This initiative supports students pursuing careers in the trucking industry by providing financial assistance to help offset educational costs. Eligible students may be awarded up to $2,500, with applications accepted and reviewed on a monthly basis until annual scholarship funds are exhausted.

In addition to the application, students are required to submit up to three letters of recommendation from non-family sources, a resume, and proper citizenship documentation. The TXTA Foundation encourages applicants to share their personal story, background, and career goals, as this information can strengthen their application and improve scholarship consideration.
