MEXICO CITY / AGILITYPR.NEWS / March 21, 2025 / First stablecoin event hosted in LatAm is presented by Bitso Business and supported by industry leaders like Visa, Circle, Arbitrum, Solana, Bridge, Lightspark among others

On August 27 and 28, Mexico City will be the home of the first event hosted in Latin America focused on stablecoins. The Stablecoin Conference 2025 will bring together more than 1,000 global experts to discuss the transformative impact of stablecoins, with a strong emphasis on the payments industry and opportunities in LatAm. Presented by Bitso Business - the B2B arm of Bitso that provides infrastructure for efficient and transparent cross-border payments -, the event will feature the participation and sponsorship of major companies from the financial sector and the crypto ecosystem, such as: Visa, Circle, Arbitrum, Solana, Bridge, Lightspark, ZeroHash, Mesh, BitGo, Aptos, Fipto, Portal, among others.

Stablecoins have become an increasingly prominent topic in the Latin American business landscape, driven by the growing number of institutions turning to these digital assets to enhance efficiency and reduce transaction costs, particularly in cross-border payments. According to the Bitso Business study, conducted by PCMI, "From Barriers to Bridges: How Blockchain Can Reshape Cross-Border Payments in Latin America”, stablecoins are rapidly emerging as preferred methods for global value transfer, by removing intermediaries, cutting costs, and increasing transaction speeds. Indeed, the recently launched third edition of the Crypto Landscape in Latin America report presented by Bitso reveals that the stablecoins dominated purchases in 2024, accounting for 39% of all digital assets acquired.

The Stablecoin Conference 2025 will have a high-level agenda with sessions covering 5 key topics that are shaping stablecoin discussions around the globe: Payments Revolution; Regulatory Landscape; Business Adoption; Financial Inclusion; Future Trends. Attendees, including regulators, business leaders, blockchain developers, and fintech innovators from all over the world, will gain insights into leveraging stablecoins to address challenges in the payments sector and drive innovation across Latin America.

“At Bitso Business, we provide the infrastructure that allows global companies to move more than $12 billion dollars per year in cross-border payments in a faster, safer, and more cost-efficient way.
