CANONSBURG, PA. / AGILITYPR.NEWS / September 08, 2026 / Steptoe & Johnson PLLC is pleased to welcome Christina Chain to the Southpointe office as Of Counsel in the firm’s Energy and Natural Resources Department. Chain focuses her practice on energy contracts, mineral title, due diligence, and asset acquisition and management throughout the Appalachian Basin.

“Christina’s nearly 20 years of oil and gas experience, combined with her deep knowledge of Appalachian title research and leasing practices, will be a valuable resource for our energy clients,” said Christopher L. Chain assists clients with oil and gas title matters across Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio, including reviewing abstracts, preparing title opinions, identifying ownership issues, and developing curative strategies throughout the Marcellus and Utica Shale Basins. Before joining the firm, she served as a Title Manager, where she managed asset acquisitions, analyzed oil and gas leases, developed title standards, and trained land professionals on Appalachian title research and leasing practices.

Chain earned her law degree from Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law and her B.A. from Chatham University. She is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania.
