Stirring Up Hope One Mixer at a Time

PHOENIX, ARIZONA / AGILITYPR.NEWS / March 14, 2025 / In life, it is often our personal struggles that ignite a deep sense of purpose. For our family, those struggles have shaped who we are and why we feel so passionate about giving back. The Whisk Away campaign is more than a fundraising initiative—it’s a heartfelt tribute to resilience, a celebration of artistry, and a way to provide support to mothers facing unimaginable hardships.

When my father lost his battle with cancer, our family was forever changed. We grieved, we struggled, and we rebuilt. Then, at 25, I experienced another devastating loss when my long-term boyfriend was taken by a rare cancer. These losses could have broken us, but instead, they strengthened our resolve. We chose to channel our pain into purpose, and when my mom sold her businesses, we sought a new way to work together—something that would bring joy, build community, and make a difference. That’s how Kitchen Switchen was born. Shared Brittney Valentine, Founder of Kitchen Switchen.

Our journey in business has been driven by a passion for sustainability and a love of rediscovering forgotten kitchen treasures. But just as important as what we do is why we do it. We understand, firsthand, how life can change in an instant, how the weight of grief can be overwhelming, and how having a strong support system can make all the difference. That’s why we’re honored to support Mother’s Grace, an organization dedicated to helping mothers and children in crisis. These women’s stories mirror our own in so many ways, and their strength is a reminder that even in the darkest moments, hope can be found.

The Art of Giving Back

Whisk Away 2025 is a unique fusion of creativity and compassion, a project designed to raise funds for Mother’s Grace while celebrating the power of art and sustainability. We’ve partnered with renowned artists to transform KitchenAid stand mixers into stunning, hand-painted masterpieces. Each one is a symbol of resilience, a reminder that beauty can emerge from struggle. These one-of-a-kind mixers will be auctioned both online and at the Mother’s Grace Mother’s Day Luncheon on April 24, 2025, with 100% of the proceeds supporting families in need. These artists have generously lent their talent to create something truly special, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Among our featured artists are:

  • Mike Margolis – A Phoenix-based abstract artist known for his vibrant, emotionally resonant work.
  • Lora Lee Barnhiser – Founder of ReGrain Studio, who specializes in sustainable art using reclaimed materials.
  • Isadora Hale – A Tucson-based contemporary painter recognized for her surreal and humorous portraits.
  • La Jefa – A Phoenix native whose expressive paintings celebrate her cultural heritage.
  • Bela Fidel – A São Paulo-born artist whose abstract works capture deep emotion and passion.
  • Alegre Lopez – A bold, colorful artist inspired by 60s and 70s culture.

A Cause Close to Home

For 16 years, Mother’s Grace has provided a lifeline to mothers navigating unthinkable challenges. Founded by Michelle Moore, this Scottsdale-based nonprofit has grown from a small gathering to a transformative force, raising over $650,000 to support women in crisis. The organization not only offers financial relief but also mentorship and resources to help mothers rebuild their lives. These are women who have faced devastating diagnoses, personal losses, and unimaginable adversity—but like us, they refuse to let hardship define them. Instead, they use their experiences to uplift others, embodying the very essence of grace and perseverance.
