Sussex listeners say goodbye at ‘An evening with Tom, Nicola and Jack’

One hundred members of the public came together in Brighton for an evening of stories, laughter and fun, with former Heart Breakfast presenters, Tom, Nicola and Jack.

Accompanied by producer Brian, Sussex’s favourite radio trio held an open and animated question and answer session at the award winning Phileas Fogg’s World of Adventures attraction.

Questions from the audience included:

  • When did you find out you were being taken off air?
  • Do you have favourite stories about each other?
  • How’s the cat? (Following a prank Nicola and Tom once played on Jack)
  • What was your biggest telling off?

The team shared their spoof ‘Downton Abbey’ video they previously made, complete with outtakes, as they agreed it was one of the funniest things they had produced together. They also played a live version of their old favourite game, ‘Sing song ping pong’, with a member of the audience.

Nicola was also asked about the time she legally changed her name live on air to Nicola Dogs Doggies Pooches And Poodles Pants And Socks And Tasty Pot Noodles Hume.

This reminded her that she still needs to get this changed as her passport is due to be renewed.

Following the stories, the county's biggest breakfast show stars mingled with the audience and posed for photos.

Guests then enjoyed a taster of the venue’s attractions by competing in Phileas Fogg’s challenges and the brave took on latest attraction ‘The Jack the Ripper Walk of Terror’.

Graham Owen, co-founder of Phileas Fogg’s, said: “We were delighted to host an evening with these celebrities following their departure from local radio. The audience was pleased to see the team reunited and hear about their time together and what they are doing now.  With guests also being able to try some of our authentic experiences, it proved to be an amazing evening for everyone who came.”
