TONE HOUSE® HOSTS FIFTH ANNUAL TURF WARS COMPETITION
NEW YORK, NY / AGILITYPR.NEWS / May 03, 2022 / Tone House, NYC’s premier Strength & Conditioning athletic training facility will partner with Special Olympics New York to host its fifth annual Turf Wars athletic competition on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Socceroof in Brooklyn. 75 men and 75 women, including a 40 and older division, will battle it out in ten events to determine who is the Man and Woman of the House. With newly added prize money ($2500) awarded to the top male and female competitor, the stakes this year are higher than ever.
A portion of the event registration fees will be donated to Special Olympics New York, who will be on-site with SONY athletes for a mini Turf Wars event in between the womens and mens heats. Turf Wars is sponsored by adidas, who will be outfitting all participants with uniforms, turf shoes, performance gear, accessories and more. NOCCO, Hyperice, Vital Proteins & Strive Total Wellness are also event partners and will be on-site offering product samples and demos for athletes and spectators.
"Turf Wars is our annual competition we hold to determine ‘Who is the Man and Woman of the House?’ It consists of 10 events that include activities we focus on at Tone House that test your speed, power, agility, strength, conditioning, and mental toughness. The competitive but supportive nature of the event embodies our ethos, and I see it growing as the company evolves and enters new markets. Get ready to leave it all on the Turf!" says Tone House Director of Training, Alonzo Wilson.
Turf Wars will begin at 9:00am (women’s division) and 1:00pm (men’s division), and foster a team-oriented and competitive spirit, while remaining motivating and encouraging—the pillars of Tone House’s community and classes. There will be a spectator area for fans to cheer, an after party on the roof deck with food and beverage options, a recovery station with massage and Hyperice products, a live DJ, and special promo items and offers for spectators.
To prepare, competitors can train like an athlete by taking part in Tone House’s signature athletic-based, team-oriented Strength & Conditioning workouts, as well as a series of Turf Wars training workshops that began April 9th, 2022. Winners will be awarded prizes from adidas, Hyperice, and Tone House.

● Sandbag Clean and Press
● Sled Push
● “Wild Card”
Turf Wars registration is open to anyone, regardless of fitness level or experience. Register here by May 15th to lock in full adidas competitor uniform.
