The Artistry House Launches Interior Design Division

PRESTON, LANCASHIRE / AGILITYPR.NEWS / October 17, 2019 / Preston creative centre The Artistry House has launched an interior design division headed up by interior and spatial designer Rose Peploe.

Integrating with Wash Studio and other creative elements within The Artistry House, the new division will specialise in projects that deliver brand communication through internal and external property and workplace aesthetics.

The first project completed by the division prior to its formal launch was The Artistry House’s own building on Preston’s Winckley Square. Developed as a base for collaborators and a space for creativity, permanent tenants include multi-award-winning creative agency Wash Studio, whose directors Andy Walmsley and Lynsey Thompson are behind the ongoing project.

The Artistry House was once the home of James Tullis, a director of Cooper and Tullis stonemasons, who built many of the large buildings in Preston including St Walburge’s Church, St Mark’s Church, Preston Town Hall, Preston Railway Station, Harris Free Library and Whittingham Hospital.

Having been developed into The Artistry House, the restored Victorian house is now home to a collective of creative companies in an inspiring environment featuring an eclectic mix of artworks by internationally renowned artists from the Ribble Valley to South America.

The new interior division will seek to develop similar properties and will be spearheaded by interior and spatial designer Rose Peploe.

Rose graduated with a first class (Hons) degree in Interior Design from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLAN) in May 2015. Since graduating she has worked in a variety of roles including lead interior and spatial designer at Meat & Drink, a small group of unique and independent bars and restaurants in the North West, where she worked on projects including Plau Gin & Beer House on Friargate, Preston.

She said: “There is no place like The Artistry House. It’s a truly unique working environment and the very building itself evokes the creative and collaborative ethos of the organisations it houses. In launching this new division, we are looking to apply that way of thinking to work and retail spaces aiming to promote their brand and company values through the very buildings from which they operate.”
